Soon after Drive Southwest was born, private owners began to approach us to hire out their sports or performance vehicles. We embraced this approach, and have now utilised this way of working to grow our business. We are now looking to extend our reach further with this, and are actively looking for new vehicles to sign up in more areas of the UK, in particular the Southwest including Devon & Cornwall.
We generally work with vehicles that are 1-10 years old, and specialise in the performance and prestige sector, whether this be a 2 seater supercar, or a 5 seater luxury car. We service a certain volume of vehicle handovers from our Somerset premises, and for those further a way we have an owner managed handover scheme. Either way, we will always deal with all enquiries, bookings, payments and insurances on your behalf. For those on our owner managed scheme, we also provide access to the tools required for a successful handover such as an app, as well as options for equipment that will enhance your experience of working with us.
Potential returns you could see depend on the vehicle itself, it’s value, appeal and demand. Some vehicles may not be suitable for hire despite falling into the category we specialise in. Returns of between 10% and 25% of vehicle value are possible, and have been seen by a number of owners already working with us. Typically our clients hire for various reasons, a large proportion are wedding related, but can include birthdays, special occasions, corporate events, weekends away, and we also run our own events throughout the year.
